BioI am new to the online journals and I am interested in the connection between images of celebrities and the way we internalize and appropriate these images for thinspiration. I am currently a student in London and researching body image and the media. I am interesed in this connection because I have always been conscious of the idealized body images promoted in the media. There is currently a prevelence of emaciated celebrities gracing the covers of fashion and tabloid magazines. I am looking for opinions, concerns and suggestions regarding this phenomenom. It is because of my personal weight issues that I am compelled to try to understand why women are continuously mezmorized by the picures of lindsay lohan, nicole ritchie and plethora of skinny celebs.
